'Uxexplained Knocking'

My only unexplained experience, was about 10 year ago, I was one, of a few staff left in the British Rail works main offices in Swindon, which had been occupied since the 1840/50's by railway men.I entered an office, and closed the door, after a few moments, I heard a knock, and said come in, but no one did, I opened the door, expecting to see someone there, but there was no one, and looked up and down the corridor, but there was no one in sight??
This was not first time that strange happenings had been noted at this spot, Security staff on night duty had also heard and seen strange things at this spot.The offices are now the home of the National Monuments Records collection, And I have no knowledge of anything else that may of happened in there to the present day.
