'King and Queen Inn'
One of the upstairs rooms of
The King and Queen Inn was partly used as a courthouse. During the 14th century one person who attended was a Hunchbacked Monk who had broken his vows. For this sin he was sentenced and hung by the neck.
Landlord and staff at the Inn have reported seeing shadows and full apparitions in the lavatory and surrounding grounds. The sound of footsteps have also been heard crossing an upstairs corridor. If you know more of this story then please help by emailing me with your update.
