‘Stratton St Margaret’
The white lady
Experiences by Rob of Stratton St Margaret.
The white lady, who has appeared to many people over the years is usually seen as a whitish mist, roughly human like in stature and approximately 6′ tall. She is mainly seen to the right of the path just beyond the church door. Also she is known to be dressed in a long flowing white nightgown, with long black hair, and bare footed. Approximately thirty years of ago.
A couple of elderly Stratton residents who witnessed The white lady (now deceased) believed that she was named Sarah and that she was searching for something/someone. It is unsure, but it is believed that she has haunted this churchyard for approxmately 100 years.
Other experiences that has been witnessed include the sound of footsteps along the gravel pathway.
Grange Drive ghost
Just down the road is Grange Drive. My wife and I just turned the corner from Ermin Street and we both shouted in alarm as I hit the brakes, for an old man with a tweed jacket and cap and his dog stepped out in front of us at point blank range. No impact but we drived away out fearing the worst. We later learned that an old man and his dog had been run over and killed there a few years previously.

- Grange Drive ghost

People are frightened to talk because of skepticism (it’s all in your head, it’s only your eye’s playing tricks, you’re hallucinating, its a misinterpretation of something natural or some other reply) and are talked out of what may of been a real paranormal experience.
