    ‘Old Vicarage’

Story by Rob James
I heard the story many times of the young lady in white hunched over and carrying what appears to have been a child, scurrying through the grave yard, one person apparantly saw this lady and tried to follow her, she went up the driveway of The Old Vicarage and was not seen again. The person following went to the old vicarage to ask if she had been seen, the owner of the old vicarage said he had heard noises in his cellar, they both went to the cellar but found nothing…. scary! Are you experiencing something strange in your home from the sound of footsteps, knockings or some other unexplained phenomenon.

Have you seen a ghost in your home.

Are you experiencing Smells or oders in the home, that can not be explained, for example pipe tobacco smells, perfume or aftershave.

Do you ever get a feeling that you are not alone in the home.

Have you seen objects moving around by unseen hands in your home or work place.

Many of these experiences are never reported because people don’t want to feel weird and odd.
People are frightened to talk because of skepticism (it’s all in your head, it’s only your eye’s playing tricks, you’re hallucinating, its a misinterpretation of something natural or some other reply) and are talked out of what may of been a real paranormal experience.
So if you are witnessing events and need someone to talk too, please post your comment below or If you prefer that you and your experience to stay private from public eyes then thats not a problem.

Please contact me on email or mobile.

  2. Have encountered the Mrs Dyer story when living in Rodbourne Cheney and attending St. Marys in the late 50′s, early 60′s. Have assumed this to be Amelia Dyer, who was a Bristolian who worked between Bristol and Reading “Baby Farming”. She is alleged to haunt the pathway at the back of the church as she used newly dug graves in the yard to conceal the corpses. Always thought this was just a “bogey man” story to stop you hanging around on the trackway.

When I was a little girl, my grandmother used to tell me if a didn’t beheave myself she would send me off to Mrs Dyer! All the children knew the story of Mrs Dryer and the babies, as they were told to us by grownups as a scary story and to bring use in to line, we made sure we didn’t go anywere near the graveyard at night just in case Mrs Dryer was digging in a grave and if we did run late we would keep our ears open lisning for the sound of digging, No child or teenager bought up on the story of Mrs Dryer will even today, linger by the graveyard at night use in case!
