‘Molly Peart’
Molly Peart, a maid at Pythouse who pleaded her innocence and denied the deliberate scolding and murder of her daughter, was later sentenced and hung by her neck .
It is now said that the ghost of molly now haunts the ‘Pink Room’, where the death of the child supposedly happened. If you know more of this story then please help by emailing me an update.

Apparently Years Ago After Molly Had Died, A Car Went Under A Bridge On The Upper Road To Tisbury And Exploded, Apparently Molly Caused That I Don’t Know How But She Did.
Another Story On Certain Days Of The Year (Supposedly The Day She Was Hun) Black Molly’s Ghost Walks Back And Fourth Along The Bridge Some People Think She Is Looking For Her Baby Because If You Listen Carefully You Can Hear Her Baby Cry

I know quite a few stories about pythouse im directly related to the origional owners of pythouse. One of the owners of pythouse used to drive around in his car (One of the first cars around) picke up travelers and drove them somewere they didnt want to go. Another used to go around in a horse and cart and whip the peasnts as he went past.

Oh and a family ledgend about the way we lost pythouse is this: We origianly lost the house in the civil war (When Charled I was against Parliament) and we were on Charlses side we then lost the house. Then after years and years a man got it back but when his his son (who liked to gamble) inherited it he gambled the house and land away.
