Mrs Hues of Cliff farm, one afternoon was looking out of her bedroom window and noticed Joshua Cowdry who lived opposite enter his garden gate, walk up the path and enter his home.
Later while talking to her husband, Mrs Hues said 'I saw 'old Josie' earlier during afternoon, he Must be well again.' Mr Hues looked at his wife in amazement and said 'thats impossible, he died this afternoon in Devizes hospital.'
